Here it comes. The time of year you lift your glass, mumble a couple of lines of “Old Lang Syne,” and share a smooch with whomever you might be lucky enough to be standing close to. New Year’s Eve is just around the corner folks, and in this town the parties come in every shape and size. Messenger thought we would drop some knowledge about what’s happening on the day we say goodbye to the old and hello to the new. And whether you are ready to throw down like a baller or tear it up on a budget, we got the low down for ya.

For better or for worse, 2017 is about to be out the door (thank gad) and 2018 is ready to show us what its got in store. But before any of that can happen let’s have a night were we live in the moment and take it all in.

Most restaurants will have dinner prix fixe menus for the final evening of the year (which often turn into parties after the late seating). But if you’re just looking to get done, here’s a selection of the best. And wherever you are, don’t forget to step outside for the fireworks display above Aspen Mountain at 8 pm and midnight. Party on!
